KVSA RoRo terminal in Ijmuiden

Alexander Coesel, Logistics and Sales manager of KVSA, the operator of the Felison Terminal in IJmuiden told us about the business and how they use Terberg tractors.

The history of KVSA goes back to 1876 when it was set up as a shipping agency. The DFDS ferry service between IJmuiden and Newcastle in the UK has been using the Felison terminal for around 30 years. KVSA has been using Terberg RT tractors from the start to handle the RoRo trailers carried by the ferries. Alexander Coesel explained that both their tractors need to be available at all times and that they count on Terberg Tractors Nederland for servicing. In their experience the mechanics usually arrive the same day if there is an urgent issue. “Terberg’s people really understand the technology and know how to fix a problem or improvise. We are considering EVs for the future and look forward to discussing that option with Terberg once our current tractors are due for replacement.”
